SUMMARY:New Edinburgh Neighbourhood Sale (CCC)
DESCRIPTION:The New Edinburgh Neighbourhood Sale will take place this year on Saturday\, September 16 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.  Homeowners\, condominium groups\, religious congregations\, businesses\, non-profit organizations and artists are encouraged to hold sales on private property throughout New Edinburgh. \nThe Crichton Community Council (CCC) gratefully collects donations to support neighbourhood events and for the purchase of equipment.  Donations of 10 per cent of sale profits earned by neighbourhood vendors is suggested. \nThe CCC is offering vendor spaces for rent within a sales area on the lawn of the New Edinburgh Park Fieldhouse to enable those without public facing properties to participate (and to provide alternatives to vendors who might otherwise squat on public land around the neighbourhood in contravention of municipal bylaws). The area around the Fieldhouse will be a busy sales centre since the weekly market coincides with the neighbourhood sale.  The Fieldhouse washrooms and water fountain will be open for everyone’s convenience. \nThe cost of a 10’ x 10’ vendor space is $20.  The cost of a 10’ x 10’ space with one 6’-8’ long table is $30. (A limited number of spaces and spaces with tables are available.) \n  \nTo rent a space\, please email CrichtonCommunityCouncil@gmail.com with the following information: \nWhat is your name?\n\nWhat is your email address?\n\nWhat is your telephone number?\n\nWhat is your home address?\n\nDo you want to rent more than one 10’ x 10’ vendor space?\n\nDo you want to rent a 6’-8’ long table?\n\nWhat kind of items do you intend to sell? (e.g. household items\, art\, baked goods)\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nPlease note the following: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAn invoice with a link to an online payment system will be sent to the email address provided. \nPayments are non-refundable. \nSpaces will be allocated on the day of the sale by the coordinator using a first come\, first served basis. \nThis event will run rain or shine. \nVendors are welcome to bring their own table or canopy. \nPlease note that vendors will not be able to park their vehicles in the sales area.  After unloading items for sale from their vehicles\, Vendors are encouraged to park their vehicles away from the sales area to provide space for prospective buyers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor more information\, please email: CrichtonCommunityCouncil@gmail.com \n

DESCRIPTION:The CCC is celebrating its 30th birthday in 2023 …or is it our 49th?  Does one start counting on the date of incorporation in ’93 or way back on the date of inception in ’74?  Either way\, we’ve got a lot of years of community building to celebrate. \nJoin us in the park for what is sure to be a good ol’ field party…\nBBQ + beer + music + face paint + neighbours = good times \nEnjoy a Saturday evening at New Edinburgh Park – one of the few before the leaves and temperatures fall! Come say hello to your neighbours and share your stories from the summer and the start of a new school year. \nThe Crichton Community Council (CCC) will be hosting a community barbecue\, with\, hamburgers\, hot-dogs\, including options for vegetarians. Refreshments\, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic\, will also be available. \nA talented face-painter will be on site. Game play areas will be set up on the lawns. Live music will fill the air. \nWe hope to see you there!
