DESCRIPTION:The New Edinburgh Bike Day event is back! \nJoin our community of people who love to bike on Saturday\, May 2nd from 10:00am -2:00pm on a closed section of Stanley Avenue and inside the New Edinburgh Park Fieldhouse. \nBike sale  |  10:00 am – 2:00 pm  (drop off May 1st\, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm)\nBuy or sell a used bicycle (or other non motorized wheeled thing… scooter\, trailer) with the help of a volunteer. 10% of all proceeds to support the CCC.  Bikes for sale should be dropped off at the Fieldhouse on Friday\, May 1st between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm for pricing. Sellers can opt to donate unsold bikes to Vélo Vanier. \nFamily Friendly Kidical Mass Bike Ride  |  gather at 9:30 am\, ride at 10:00 am\nParticipate in a family-friendly bike ride around the neighbourhood led by Kidical Mass (All children participating must be accompanied by an adult). A bike ride with a purpose: safe streets for kids. Perfect for families or anyone looking to enjoy a slower ride. Gather starting at 9:30 am\, ride departs at 10:00 am. \nFull Cycle adjustments  |   10:00 am – 2:00 pm\nHave your bicycle checked and minor adjustments made on site at no cost by a Full Cycle mechanic.  (First come first served. Repairs can be scheduled at a later date.) \nShowing of the award-winning film MOTHERLOAD  |   10:30 am – 12:00 pm\nThis film captures a new mother’s quest to understand the increasing isolation and disconnection of modern life\, its planetary impact\, and how cargo bikes could be an antidote. \nCoffee Treats Tacos & Beer  |   10:00 am – 2:00 pm\nLocal businesses On Union Street Cafe\, Taco Bout It\, and Manor Park Brewing serving delicious coffees\, treats\, tacos and local beers! \nOttawa Bicycle Club  |  10:00 am – 2:00 pm\nStop by the OBC pop-up tent to chat with representatives about cycling in Ottawa and learn more about the club’s programs \nNew Edinburgh BIKE DAY 2026 poster
