New Edinburgh Seniors Social Group – Speaker: Paula Thompson (CCC)

Paula Thompson is a lawyer who lives in New Edinburgh and who has a special interest in refugee issues. Some years ago she took on the task of  leading a group of residents who successfully sponsored a Syrian refugee family with the help of Mackay United Church. It was a proud moment when the family arrived and everyone pitched in to welcome them to Canada. Join us to learn more about how New Edinburgh has helped refugees.

The New Edinburgh Seniors Social Group meets regularly at the New Edinburgh Park Fieldhouse, giving senior members of our community opportunities to build new relationships and strengthen existing connections with peers.  Activities of the group are planned to satisfy the interests of participants. Regular activities include: a speaker series featuring “local personalities”; ice cream socials; dance/fitness classes; tea time; and, luncheons.

All seniors, family members, friends and neighbours are invited to spend this time together. 

There is no cost to participate in most activities.
